TFHE GENERALIST IS 5

JUNE616

This month marks the

5th

Anniversary   of                   The Generalist.

I started the very first post on this blog, entitled ‘Memory Exercise’ with the following quote – a kind of mission statement which I still hang on to.

'Many men have been just as troubled morally and spiritually as you are right now. Happily, some of them kept records of their troubles. You'll learn from them - if you want to. Just as someday. if you have something to offer, someone will learn something from you. It's a beautiful, reciprocal arrangement. And it isn't education. It's history. It's poetry'
- J.D. Salinger, author of The Catcher In The Rye

Thanks to you all.

The Generalist is a wonderful site. I read J.D. Salinger’s Catcher In The Rye in High School. Many men have been just as troubled morally and spiritually as you are right now. - J.D. Salinger, author of The Catcher In The Rye I think that creative people see the world differently than most people. They understand the realms of dreams, creation, art and writing. Creation is the strongest urge in man and woman. Whether procreation, or artistic creation, we leave a footprint that says “I was here.” My story is my art .I think that art is a way we tell the world who we are and what we feel. Writers and artists are passionate creators of their art.
